Christmas Dinner at Lisneal!
StemGirls
Today was an incredible day for Sophie as she was invited to the Terex Ecotech Brand conference to see her female workwear design become a reality. It was fantastic to see female Terex employees wearing Sophie’s design and listen to how much they love it. Sophie met the CEO who travelled from the US to attend the conference and congratulate her. Sophie will be presented with her own Terex uniform next week before it rolls out across the Terex plants. Amazingly, Sophie’s designs may also be rolled out globally. The people at Terex just love Sophie and she was even offered a job! What a day, what a girl. #stemgirls Terex Corporation
Sophie shines @ Terex
Year 10 student, Sophie, took part in the final of the Terex female workwear design competition. Sophie, along with other students from local schools, had a guided tour of the manufacturing plant at Campise and had the opportunity to see the manufacture stages of the conveying systems. Sophie was then required to present her designs to a judging panel of five engineers. Sophie was excellent and is thrilled to have had this opportunity to present. Mrs McCrudden is extremely proud of Sophie, who has put a lot of hard work and effort into this competition. We now patiently wait on the results, fingers crossed for Sophie!
Christian Unity Week
Mr Allen and head pupils, Kyle and Katie, attended the Christian Unity Week service in St. Eugene’s Cathedral. It was lovely to join with our Shared Education partners, St Mary’s College and St. Cecilia’s College and local primary schools. Lisnagelvin PS and Fountain PS joined their shared education partners too. Well done to everyone who contributed to the service; we are really blessed to have such camaraderie across our schools.
