On Thursday evening Team Lisneal attended the Divided by History, United by Music performance in the Millennium Forum. Pupils Sophie and Emily danced beautifully in a shirt factory scene which portrayed working life in our city in 1914. Newbuildings PS principal, Miss Thompson, joined Mr Allen, Mrs Wilson, Miss Bell and our A Level history pupils for this amazing event. A huge congratulations goes to everyone involved.
READING BETWEEN THE LINES
It’s brilliant to see our dedicated students attending evening literacy classes in the Caw/Nelsondrive community and cultural centre. The classes, delivered expertly by Miss Campbell, focus on skills which will help students achieve their potential in upcoming GCSE English examinations.
Reading between the Lines (support with GCSE English) Extended Schools in action continues to run on Tuesdays, 7-8.30pm. Some spaces are still available. If you wish to attend please see Miss Brown in school or contact the CAW/NELSONDRIVE community centre.
