Lisneal Cadet Put Skills To The Test

Earning honours after a gruelling forty hours of tough physical and mental challenge in the recent Northern Ireland Army Cadet Force Military Skills Competition is Lisneal College student Jordan.

Jordan who is an accomplished Cadet Sergeant in the College’s Army Cadet Force Detachment earned third place in a hard-fought contest for Best Section Commander in the annual event in which Cadet teams from across Northern Ireland compete in a range of military skills, including First Aid, command tasks, fieldcraft, signals, skill at arms and observation. Jordan was a member of the 1st Battalion B Company team which clinched second place in the March competition and third place overall.

After an exciting weekend, Jordan is pictured receiving congratulations from Colonel Lindsay, Deputy Commander, 38 (Irish) Brigade … and, of course, the Royal Irish Regiment’s mascot, the ever-popular Brian Boru X, pictured with his handler.

Well done Jordan! Superb achievement. A born leader!
