I am privileged to report that our year 12 pupils have achieved the best GCSE results in Lisneal College’s history. 95% of pupils achieved 5 or more A*-C grades. This is well above the most recent NI average. The % of pupils achieving 5 or more A*-C GCSE or equivalent grades with English and maths has remained well above the Northern Ireland average for NG schools. It is important to also commend pupils who faced many challenges and achieved amazing success by showing determination and dedication. For some young people a D-G grade can be a tremendous achievement and we should equally recognise such success. We must never forget that kindness, respect and teamwork do not come with GCSE grades, but if they did, the students of Lisneal College would be top of the league. Results do not define you- your actions do! I would like to take the opportunity to commend and thank you: the pupils, teaching staff, non teaching staff, Governors, parents and the local community for all your hard work and support. You are number 1!
