Lisneal dominated the game throughout both halves. Late into the second half the deadlock was broken whenever defender Ethan slipped the ball passed the keeper. Not long after, Lisneal secured the second to book their place in the next round after an excellent finish from Ollie!
A special mention to the man of the match Jake, who worked tirelessly throuhgout the game! Jake is pictured with his MOTM award!
Well done to all players

U16 into Quarterfinals of NI Cup
Our Under-16 football team progressed into the Quarterfinals of the NI Cup today after a hard fought 2-0 victory over Rathmore Grammar School. Lisneal started strongly and looked threatening.
Gradually Rathmore settled into the game and started to assert a physical dominance which broke the rhythm of Lisneal’s football. At full-time the teams couldn’t be separated, meaning extra-time before a potential penalty shoot-out. With momentum swinging in our favour we grabbed the game scoring 2 quick goals to proceed with a 2-0 victory. Reece Schmid and Jack Curran got the goals but every player played a huge role, with some fine saves made by Aaron Buchanan at key moments.

The next round brings an away trip to Belfast where we play St. Malachy’s College.

Her form teacher, Miss Concannon, year head, Mrs Miller, and some pupils from Letisha’s form class even went in person to support her and loved watching her in the show.
