On Thursday 12th February, the U12 boys booked their place in their first ever Northern Ireland Cup Final with a 2-1 victory over Lecale Trinity Grammar, Downpatrick.
From the very beginning, Lisneal understood that this was going to be a tough task and would need resilience and hard work to see the game through.
The first half was end to end, with both teams cancelling out each others chances.
Half time 0-0. Lisneal started the second half strongly with a quick goal by Jamie H from a superb run and cross by our MOTM, Lucas C. 1-0. Lecale quickly bounced back placing it level with 15 minutes to go. 1-1.
With around 6 minutes to go, Jamie received another superb ball from Lucas to shoot from outside the box putting Lisneal 2-1 up. The boys defended well in the final minutes to see the game off and book their spot in the N.I. Cup Final.
