Four of our amazing year 9 pupils; Lawson, Mackenzie, Amy and Sarah, achieved 1st Prize in the ‘Salters’ Institute Festival of Chemistry College Challenge’ sponsored by Randox Laboratories Ltd. The competition was held in the North West Regional College and many schools from Letterkenny, Omagh, Enniskillen and Dungannon were in attendance.

The Foyle Hospice 2018 Female Walk/Run is fast approaching in June. We would love to see our female pupils, staff and their family members take part in this very worthwhile event. Entry forms are available from the Hospice or from Miss Brown in school. #TeamLisneal COMMUNITY SCHOOL

Ciaron Harkin, Midfielder for Coleraine F.C, called into school yesterday following a fantastic finish to the season having recently won the Tennent’s Irish Cup. Our staff and pupils were delighted to get a chat with Ciaron and we are very grateful for the words of encouragement that he gave to our pupils who have a passion for sport.

At Friday breaktime the staff enjoyed a feast of cakes, buns and tray-bakes. Tough work we know; however, it was all for for a great cause. All the money raised will be donated to the Relay for Life- Cancer Research UK charity. #TeamLisneal is also entering a team for the 24 hour relay being held on 23 June in St Columb’s Park, so we would be grateful for your support for the event. Our superstar Spanish teachers have done it again. Just look at the fantastic ‘Days of the Week’ display Amy, Emily, Megan and Morgan made for their Spanish pupils in Cumber Claudy Primary School. We’re sure you’ll agree that the girls are excellent ambassadors for Lisneal College and we know that the children and staff of Cumber Claudy have been so impressed with the quality of the girls’ teaching.
