CONGRATS PETER & KALI

Our Student Council recently ran a competition for their peers to see who could offer the best suggestion as to how the pupil experience at Lisneal College can be further improved. There were lots of great ideas put forward from pupils across all year groups. The two best suggestions were made by Peter and Kali and we hope to act upon their ideas in the near future by installing a change machine in school and coat hooks in form rooms. The Student Council wish to thank all pupils who took part in the competition and will consider all ideas in time.

PSC REPORTS

#PROUDASPUNCH to have a hall full of pupils who achieved all praises in their 3rd pastoral report of the 2017/18 academic year. The PSC reports were distributed in school during registration this morning and it was a credit to our pupils that SO MANY of them had praises for their excellent attitudes to learning in every single subject. Each pupil was given an Easter egg as a reward but we don’t imagine that too many of the eggs will make it home this afternoon to be shared with the mums and dads as they were all munching away the minute they were given out. ENJOY!

DEDICATION!

Today was the 1st day of the Easter holidays and our A Level students were in school at 9am working flat to the mat. Well done to them all for their great days work!#YouGetOutWhatYouPutIn #HardWorkPaysOff

U14 GIRLS’ SOCCER

The #TeamLisneal Under 14 girls’ soccer team attended an inter school football tournament at Foyle College. The event was very well hosted by the Foyle College A Level Sports Science students as part of their Event Management course.

Under the watchful eye of Coach Glackin the Lisneal girls gathered momentum during the round robin stages securing wins over Foyle College and Thornhill College. 2 wins out of 4 games was enough to tie St Mary’s College on 6 points but a better goal difference saw St Mary’s progressing to the final against St Cecilia’s. Lisneal did go on to take third place overall in the play off with Thornhill. All the girls involved played their part but perhaps mention should go to GK Abbie Brown for some good saves and Katie Hargan who supplied all 4 of Lisneal’s goals. Well done girls and here’s to the rest of the season! #WEARELISNEAL#LIKENOOTHER

WELCOME TO LISNEAL

This morning, Mr Allen was delighted to receive the primary 7 pupils’ first preferences for Lisneal College. Once again the number of children and families choosing #TeamLisneal has increased and we are really excited to be YOUR school. It is with great pleasure that we say ‘welcome’ to each child who chose Lisneal College. Mr Allen has signed and approved ALL applications. So to each family out there- WELCOME TO TEAM LISNEAL!
