Shared Education Week – Closing Conference

We were utterly delighted to host the closing conference for Northern Ireland’s Shared Education Week at Lisneal College today. A number of engaging presentations were given to our audience of guests that looked back on the journey of Shared Education to date, highlighted its success and explored the next steps for its future development. We are very excited for the future of Shared Education in Northern Ireland.
We are forever proud of the Foyle Shared Education Partnership that we have with St. Mary’s and St. Cecilia’s. This powerful partnership has enabled us to extend the school curriculum, share resources, improve pupil outcomes and enrich the educational experiences that we provide for all pupils. It was such a privilege for us to host the closing event for Northern Ireland’s Shared Education Week at #TEAMLISNEAL today – we are really excited to continue to work in collaboration with our partnership schools for the benefit of our wonderful young people.

BBC Presenter, Tara Mills, facilitated a Panel Discussion and Q&A Session during today’s ‘What Next For Shared Education?’ Conference. Representatives from the Department of Education, the Education Authority, SELF and the Nerve Centre sat on the panel alongside Mr Allen and Mrs Lindsay to discuss and explore the next steps for Shared Education in Northern Ireland.
